Many skiers and riders pay attention to big storms and miss the ones where things fill in more slowly and in a more isolated fashion. Today's storm dropped a widespread 3"-9" of light fluffy snow on ski areas across the Northeast and it will continue through this evening and there's more snow on its way in some smaller more isolated events. These less-followed events are in fact capable of creating glorious days with untracked powder and hardly anyone around to share it with, and days like these can become some of the best ever as was the case for me back in 2020 when I and some friends had a mountain almost completely to ourselves with 2' of untouched powder.
