Walking outside this morning it feels like Florida is trying to invade the Northeast with warm southerly flow and some rain, but Canadian air is going to fight back this weekend on the back-end of this storm and even bring a little bit of snow and a little bit of rain to open ski areas Saturday and early Sunday. Wind is going to be extra spicy on Friday, but during the weekend there should only be limited issues. Temperatures will dip again, and we may even see some terrain ice up at open before thawing after the day gets going. All in all, not a bad weekend for some spring turns, though it will look nothing like last weekend when we were packed with fresh snow.
You are still going to find some natural terrain open from the Killington latitude and north, and we're still seeing 100% of terrain open in places like Saddleback and Sugarloaf. Not bad for April. My only complaint about this weekend is that it will be too chilly for lounging in a chair sipping some juiced up IPA next to a grill, but that will come soon enough.
