The string of fantastic winter weather in the northern half of the Northeast is about to end, but this isn't doom and gloom with a whole bunch of sloppy r@!n, but things will ice up a bit and the wind will be severe causing operational issues for ski areas to contend with and for you to dodge. Let's jump right into the broad view showing 7AM Wednesday through 7AM Friday from the ECMWF.
I'm going to cover the Precipitation Forecast, and then the Wind Hold Forecast for both Thursday and Friday, and there will be some severe holds both days. I did send out a Storm Watch earlier regarding the weekend storm and so I will not be including an update here.
