Weekend Outlook: Sat-Mon 3/22-24

It's been kind of a bummer this last week for snowpack, but let me tell you the skiing and riding on those warm sunny days has been fantastic, and those that typically operate into April do have plenty of cover on their snowmaking terrain and even some glades across Vermont. At the same time I'm afraid that this will be the closing weekend for many south of the Albany, NY latitude and even a few north of it, but with perfectly fitting weather.

This weekend we literally have a little bit of everything coming our way. March can be tricky and if it isn't the precipitation it's the temps and what it does to surface conditions, and almost as always a little wind also but isolated. You either want fresh snow below freezing or warm corn to squish and bump around on at this time of year. Here's the GFS 6-hour precipitation intensity loop covering Friday through Monday to start things off.

I've already covered Friday fully in Minor Storm Update #3 so I'll just be covering Saturday through Monday here with Daily Outlooks for subscribers.
