I ain't going to lie, the shoulder season in the spring often comes with a lot of moisture that just misses being snow and temps that aren't quite warm enough to feel like partying, but it's a process and we still have about 7 more weeks of skiing and riding in the Northeast before the corn lovers hang up their gear, and it will get better, and the snow is not yet over either.
Unfortunately the wet weather this week has caused a number of ski areas who were aiming to open again to call their seasons. The map below shows just Saturday and Sunday's expected openings, but Berkshire East, West Mountain, and Jiminy Peak will all be operating on Friday for their last day of the season, and Royal Mountain and Snow Ridge are looking to spin their lifts one last time the following Saturday if Mother Nature cooperates. Please be sure to check those snow reports before heading out.

As far as the weather goes, yes, we have a system for Saturday and Sunday, but there will definitely be opportunities to stay out of the r@!n and freezing r@!n this weekend on both days, and then on Monday we may even get a little snowstorm (with more following it). Don't sit this out and cry in your beer because you heard there was r@!n, seek out an opportunity to have a good day, and Snowology will always try to show you the way.

I'll be covering each of the 4 days for the most notable weather in the Daily Outlooks for subscribers below.
