Last week we launched the Daily Powculator which breaks down snow, freezing r@!n, and r@!n into 3-hour blocks, and as of yesterday evening we have now launched hourly weather forecasts. All features are available to all of our Premium Subscribers and cost just $29.99 for a full 12 months of access.

For the hourly weather summaries we are displaying both the base and summit temps, a weather summary focused on precipitation or sky cover, the probability of precipitation, and the summit wind gusts. Hourly forecast data has been separated into daytime and nighttime blocks to make it easier to focus on what you will experience during the ski day. We might add more hourly forecasting data over time but we started with the most important and it is our desire to make our interface easy to use and uncluttered, and our forecasting the most accurate among weather apps for East Coast ski areas. This is a major milestone for us and a major new feature for our subscribers.

We're not done either of course. Next up in our list of development projects will be:

1. Snowology App: This will provide an easy way to check Snowology from your phones and tablets and it will give us the ability to send notifications and expand our capabilities over time. We're hoping to have this ready on our end by the end of this next week however the launch timing will depend on approval from app stores.

2. Subscriber Deals: This has unfortunately taken a back burner to weather automation work, but we have several subscriber-only deals that well be launching in the first week of February with both ski & stay packages and discounts on gear.

3. Favorites Functionality: We're going to add in the ability to mark ski areas as a Favorite and make your list of Favorites the default list in our Weather section.

4. Ski Area Comparison Tools: On our main weather page we will be providing new tools to sort not just by state/region and pass, but also by past and future snow as well as by the percentage of terrain open with the list of ski areas showing this data. These tools will only be available to subscribers.

5. Continual Back End Data Improvements: While you won't notice most of these changes we are still continuing to refine and improve our automated forecasting regularly.

Snowology will continue to offer the most accurate forecasting for the East Coast, an area with unique challenges and one that we know first hand.
