Well, that was exciting, maybe a little intense for some. I hope all of our coastal friends are are dug out and that you have power at least soon. For some that was a storm of a lifetime with up to 38" reported in Rhode Island.

This week we have only one minor storm to talk about and a warm up expected this weekend. I know the internet weather grifters are trying to mapbait people into a storm on Friday but there has been a clear trend for a couple days of the trough disappearing that is needed for that storm. There is an outside chance of something on Sunday though more likely that energy gets wrapped up into a Monday disturbance that models are starting to play around with. Here's the surface map from the latest GFS covering Tuesday through Sunday.

We do have some more isolated wind concerns on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I also have some sticky snow concerns when snow from this last blizzard and the Wednesday system starts to melt which will vary across the region.

I'm going to break this down into a Wednesday Minor Storm Forecast, and then a Wind Hold Outlook, and a Temperature Outlook through Sunday with a focus on sticky snow potential which will impact almost everyone at some point this week, and especially on Saturday. Snowology translates the weather into your skiing and riding experience better than everyone, hands down.
