Weekend Outlook: Fri-Mon 4/3-6

Yes, there's still plenty of snow on the mountains and plenty of places to go. 📷 Pico Mountain

I know from the broad view the weather this weekend might not look great, but there are opportunities and Saturday in fact should be widely great for spring skiing and riding while we're still watching for a window of opportunity on Sunday before winter returns for a 3 day spell next week (and with that some snowmaking believe it or not). There are still 2 more months of skiing and riding to go and it's time to break out those grills and tutus.

Let's jump right into the broad view from the GFS with 6-hour precipitation intensity (this is different from simulated radar as it shows precipitation over a 6-hour window in each frame).

I'm going to break down the forecast into days as the weather is quite active of course. As always to dial in your location you should use the Weather Section where temperatures and precipitation are broken down by the hour for 184 East Coast ski areas at levels of detail that I can't provide in written forecasting for the entire Northeast region. It's the perfect companion to these updates!
