It's been sort of warm to say the least, the weather has been off-the hook for apres and tailgating aside from some r@!n. Snowpack has certainly taken a beating this week but temps will start to moderate Friday and by Sunday it looks like we'll be on the cool side of climatology and will generally stay that way through possibly the end of the month and that will help a ton in preserving the snowpack that remains.
This weekend looks great on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday will transition from light to moderate r@!n and then turn into some snow! The Powculator is currently predicting up to about 5" of snow at open ski areas by Monday morning in fact. Here's the broad view from the GFS showing 6-hour precipitation intensity over this 4 day period.

We have lost quite a few ski areas in the last week in fact Okemo ended up having to tap out today after losing too much snow at the summit but they gave it their all. Stowe has also announced that they will stay open for as long as they possibly can which is a dramatic change from the last 2 decades. Monday night we will probably also see Black Mountain and possibly even Camelback turn the snowguns back on in order to extend their seasons as long as they possibly can.
Here's a list of everyone who is open or who is planning on opening this weekend across the entire East (we are likely missing some from Quebec that are not currently tracked).

I believe that starting Monday only Jay Peak, Stowe, Sugarbush, Killington, Sugarloaf, Black Mountain, and Saint-Sauveur will be operating daily with Camelback joining in for the following Friday through Sunday. All mentioned will probably reach at least the first weekend in May, with at least Killington likely to make it until the start of June.
I'll go through the Weekend Forecast in one lump here for subscribers with a focus on temperatures, precipitation (including the snow event) and wind. As always, our Weather Section includes hourly breakdowns for all Northeast ski areas in an easy to use interface.
