Nothing has changed significantly with expectations for Sunday's coastal storm but I'm able to dial this in a bit better and also give guidance on wind threats through the rest of the holiday weekend. This will be a quick update.
I do have a Powculator update. Good news, it turns out one of our weather model data providers had a bug in their data that was the cause of our issues and not the exact weather model version. They have already addressed that though we have not yet been able to go and do our own deeper verifications so I would consider this to be a fix still in progress. The Powculator does however appear to be returning solid forecasts for the region on Sunday. This is actually the 3rd provider since October where we have been able to detect notable issues with their data that they were unaware of. That just goes to show the level of detail we bring to the table in examining data versus many others. We make mistakes too of course, but we dedicate a lot of time to doing both automated and manual verification.
